August Wilson Theatre

Located in central Manhattan, The August Wilson Theatre was built in 1925, when it was known as The Guild Theatre. It was later renamed to honor respected playwright August Wilson, paying homage to his influence on American theater.

In April 2024, the venue underwent renovations to revive the classic musical ‘Cabaret.’ With it came new seats and modern amenities, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in world-class productions within an intimate setting. Since the 2024 transformation for ‘Cabaret,’ there are now new seats around a turntable stage.
